What is the process by which rocks are uplifted and exposed at Earth’s surface?

 Rocks are pushed to the surface through a process called uplift. This process is caused by the movement of tectonic plates and the resulting pressure they exert on the Earth’s crust. As the plates move, they can push up sections of the crust, bringing the rocks that are beneath the surface up to the top.
