Delhi man stabs woman who turned him down, then dies by suicide

A man stabbed a woman and later died by suicide in a case of one-sided love affair in Delhi. 

By Himanshu Mishra: A man allegedly stabbed a woman and later died by suicide in a case of one-sided love in Delhi's Begumpur area. The woman who sustained injuries has been admitted to a hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.

According to the police, both of them worked at an event management company.

The man identified as Amit had proposed to the woman but she had turned down his advances.

The incident happened on Friday around 2.30, when Amit stabbed the woman with a knife. The woman screamed for help, after which people rushed to help and took her to the hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, Amit fled the scene and later died by suicide at his office. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.

SAKSHI MURDER CASE

The incident comes only a few days after a 16-year-old girl named Sakshi was stabbed over 20 times and bludgeoned to death with a cement slab in the Shahbad Dairy area of Delhi's Rohini.

The accused, Sahil, was arrested by the police from Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr, the next day.

Sahil was angered by the victim's decision to end their relationship. They had been dating since 2021, said the police.

Sahil was questioned and on his instance, the weapon of offense was also recovered from the Rithala area.
