By India Today Sports Desk: Quarter-finals action at the French Open 2023 promises an exciting lineup on Tuesday, featuring some of the sport's biggest stars. The highlight of the day could be the confirmation of a potential clash between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals.

World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz and the 22-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic are eager to navigate their respective quarter-finals with minimal complications. Both players face challenging opponents, with Alcaraz taking on Stefanos Tsitsipas under the lights and Djokovic battling Karen Khachanov in the day's final match.

Alcaraz enters his match as the clear favorite against Tsitsipas, having won all four of their previous encounters. The Spanish rising star, aiming for his second Grand Slam title, has impressively dropped just one set en route to the quarter-finals. On the other hand, Djokovic holds a dominant record against Khachanov, triumphing in eight out of their nine meetings.

Another exciting clash to watch is between Aryna Sabalenka and Elina Svitolina. Sabalenka, who had previously struggled to progress beyond the third round at Roland-Garros, seems to have overcome her clay-court challenges after winning her first Grand Slam title at this year's Australian Open.

With newfound freedom in her game, Sabalenka poses a significant threat to Iga Swiatek's top-ranked position and aims to dethrone her during the tournament. Meanwhile, Svitolina, in her first Grand Slam event since becoming a mother last October, is enjoying tremendous support from the crowd. With reduced pressure as she chases her first Grand Slam title, Svitolina will provide stiff competition for Sabalenka.
