Kanpur man rapes special needs minor, leaves Rs 20 behind before fleeing

By Ranjai Singh: A man in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh has been accused of repeatedly raping a special needs minor in his neighborhood and leaving money behind after the act.
According to the complaint lodged by the survivor’s family, the assailant, who lived next door to them in the Chakeri locality, jumped across to their terrace, knocked down the girl and raped her, and left a 50-rupee note behind. This was followed by another assault the next day, where he handed her Rs 20.
However, on this occasion, he was seen by the survivor’s elder sister. He immediately fled the spot. Family members coaxed the girl to tell them what happened and notified the local police.
Joint Police Commissioner Anand Prakash Tiwari said that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered in this case, and a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the accused.
According to the survivor’s sister, she witnessed the accused assaulting her younger sister after breaking into their rooftop. Other family members said that as per the minor’s account, the accused had been raping her for three days and had thrown Rs 100 at her on one occasion.
