Karnataka: Drunk man in Bidar drives away parked bus to his village, detained
A drunk man, who was irked by waiting for the Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation bus to go to his village, picked up a parked bus and decided to drive it to his hometown.

By India Today News Desk: A drunk man on Monday (June 5), who was irked by waiting for the state-run bus which reportedly didn't turn up, decided to pick up a parked Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) bus nearby and drove it to his village.
According to a report in the Deccan Herald, he reportedly rammed the KKRTC bus into a divider at Aurad in Bidar district. At the time of the accident, the bus had passengers in it.
He was identified as Yashappa Suryavamshi, who is a resident of Karanji village in Aurad taluk. He has been detained by the Karnataka police.
On Monday morning, Yashappa wanted to go to his village and he went to the bus stand. He waited for long time and with no bus coming, he got angry.
In inedbierated state, he saw the KKRTC bus parked nearby and went towards it. He got into it and drove it off to his village. It was when he had the accident and a jeep was also damaged that he was detained by the police, said the report.
The passengers inside the bus reportedly started to scream and called out for help to people on the road. They forced Yashappa to get out of the bus and the police detained him..
